Immaculate 1910s Finnigans Leather Suitcase

£1,125.00

 Immaculate 1910s Finnigans Leather Suitcase

A stunning example of a leather suitcase, made by Finnigans of Manchester. The House of Finnigan was a British luxury luggage and trunk maker established in 1830, originally in Manchester and later in New Bond Street in London.

This suitcase is in remarkably very good condition for its age. The leather has been fed and is in a nice supple condition, there are no rips or tears and the stitching is all intact and strong. The original Moroccan leather lining is in very good order. This case was owned by Lt. Col. W Vincent of Whinburgh. Norfolk. His name and address are stampled on the lid of this case. Both the locks are stamped with the Finnigans name. The handle is strong and attached via 2 brass studs. This case comes complete with its key.

This case is a nice useable size! Measuring 60cm x 40cm x 20cm. You can fit a lot of kit in there! For someone who has always desired a beautiful leather suitcase made by one of the legendary makers, then this is for you.

They don't make cases like this anymore and if they did the price would be unaffordable to most. If you own a Pre-war classic or just love the style of the 1910/20/30s then this one is for you.
