1920s Finnigans Leather Dressing Case

A lovely example of a leather dressing case made by Finnigans of Manchester. The House of Finnigan was a British luxury luggage and trunk maker established in 1830, originally in Manchester and later in New Bond Street in London.

This dressing case is in remarkably good condition for its age. The leather has been fed and is in a nice supple condition, there are no rips or tears and the stitching is all intact and strong. The original red water marked silk lining is intact and in good order. There are no initials on this case. Both the locks are stamped with the Finnigans name. The handle is attached via 2 brass 'D' rings and is in strong working condition.

This case is a nice useable size as a weekend case. Measuring 44cm x 30cm x 16cm. If you are someone who has always desired a beautiful leather dressing case,  made by one of the legendary makers, then this is for you.

They don't make cases like this anymore and if they did the price would be unaffordable to most. If you own a Pre-war classic or just love the style of the 1910/20/30s then this one is for you.

Made in England.
