ORIGINAL WWII U.S. ARMY M-1938 "MACKINAW" COAT
This is fine example of an original WWII U.S. Army M-1938 “Mackinaw” Coat manufactured by Schloss Bros. & Co., Inc. under U.S. Army Quartermaster contract W-669 and dated 1942. The original interior label shows production for the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot, confirming this is a true wartime-issued garment and not a reproduction.
Constructed from heavy wool in a drab olive colour, the coat features a double-breasted front, wide shawl collar, and belted waist, offering excellent warmth and wind protection while allowing room to layer over a uniform. A classic piece of WWII U.S. Army outerwear with clear Quartermaster markings and strong historical appeal.
