1920s Large Finnigan Leather suitcase/trunk
A beautiful example of a leather suitcase, made by Finnigan of Manchester. The House of Finnigan was a British Luxury luggage and trunk maker established in 1830, originally in Manchester and later in New Bond Street in London.
This suitcase is in remarkably good condition for its age. The leather has been fed and is in a nice supple condition. There has been a repair made to the straps to allow the user to continue using them for many years to come. There are no rips and tears to the case and the stitching is all intact and strong. There is a cream canvas covered tray that lifts out. The rest of the interior lining is in a cream canvas and in good clean condition. The leather straps within the case are strong and ready for use. Both brass locks are in good working order and come with a key. The handle is strong and attached via 2 brass studs. It also has leather handles at each end held in place with more brass work.
This case is rather large... Measuring 83cm x 47cm x 26cm. Ideally suited for the back of Vintage car or as part of an interior design scheme. For someone who has always desired a beautiful leather suitcase made by one of the top luggage manufacturers of the day, then this is for you.

USA deliveries are via DHL which takes 2-4 days from posting - £30.
European deliveries are via Royal Mail Tracked which takes 2-11 days from posting (excluding waiting times for customs) - £20.

All orders received by 21st December will be posted before Christmas - UK and Overseas
Please order the day before these dates for delivery to be received before Christmas:
Europe - Friday 6th December (order on/by 5th December)
Rest of World - Friday 6th December (order on/by 5th December)
USA - Wednesday 18th December (order on/by 17th December)
UK - Saturday 21st December (order on/by 20th December)
Any orders place during November/December have an extended returns/exchange period. Orders to be returned to us by 14th January 2025 and are then subject to normal returns/exchange policy.
Customs & Duties
If your delivery address is outside of the UK you may have to pay Import VAT and Import Duties which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance. Please note, customs policies vary widely from country to country so we recommend you contact your local customs office for further information.
Please note international shipments may be subject to cross border inspections by customs authorities.
If you would prefer us to pay the duties ahead of posting which makes for a quicker process through customs please let us know. We will then raise an invoice with you and upon settlement the item will be posted.
